Description

Leishmania mexicana promastigote forms (WHO strain MNYC/BZ/62/M379). Cells were grown in M199 culture medium and fixed with glutaraldehyde, dehydrated in ethanol, critical-point dried and sputter coated with gold. The image was captured on a JOEL JSM-6390 scanning electron microscope. Magnification 5000X.
