Description

Three of four monocytes contained erythrocytes in the cytoplasm. To note would be the presence of erythrocyte-type lytic material at the cytoplasm surface of one of the monocytes. Aglutinated, lytic erythrocytes were also seen at contact to lytic nuclear material.

Technical Details

Cerebrospinal fluid, cytocentrifugation, May-Grunwald-Giemsa stain.
